I was spending the evening shooting traditional landscape scenes of a roadside that had been utterly colonized by kudzu when I found myself motivated to try something completely different. The resulting impressionistic photograph reminded me of the cobalt blue drawings sometimes used to represent nighttime scenes in children's books.
