There are a handful of images that I’ve taken when my middle-of-the-night photographic outings bump up against the coming day. The shift from darkness to dawn is a period of extreme delicacy, but once dawn takes hold, it is relentless. The ensuing daylight overwhelms the scene entirely. This image was made during that liminal time between late night and dawn.
